The Generic Long Chain

Materials: Vermeil

Dimensions: 48” in length.

Alprazolam, clonazepam, hydrocodone/acetaminophen, hydrocodone/ibuprofen, amphetamine-dextroamphetamine and lorazepam.  In America these are our chains. This work is part of the “Generic Line”. The name is derived from the mass produced, generic versions of common psychotropic drugs that have seeped into every crevice of American culture.

Eden and Judgement Scene (Installation views)

This piece depicts the Adam and Eve cycle. Adam and Eve find the tree of knowledge split in two. Adam is transfixed on the thorn and the apple is uneaten. However, the crushed beer cans, cigarette butts and indifference would suggest that the deed was accomplished.
