The Generic Book Series

Generic Book Series are a set of six books created in 2020. The titles (in no specific order) are Event Horizon, Deepfakes, Digital Shit, Abstractions, Portraits, and Schizophrenics and Garbage. The term “generic” is derived from the mass produced, generic versions of common pharmaceutics that have seeped into every crevice of American culture. The Generic Books Series are a visual extrapolation of that idea.

This piece depicts the Adam and Eve cycle. Adam and Eve find the tree of knowledge split in two. Adam is transfixed on the thorn and the apple is uneaten. However, the crushed beer cans, cigarette butts and indifference would suggest that the deed was accomplished.
